Michael knows concern over pets can lessen the enjoyment of vacations or increase worry about the lenght of time dogs have to be in the house without getting a break while you are at work. That is why he asks that each customer complete a service instruction sheet, providing detailed information such as feeding instructions, telephone numbers where you can be reached, and veterinary information, including medications and emergency details.
The information provided on the service instruction sheet allows Michael to provide care as though your animals were his own.
Michael leaves notes so customers know how their animals did during his visit. He includes any concerns he has, for example limping or accidents that he finds in the house (which will be cleaned up during the visit). Michael Mifflin started LASSIE'S NANNY in 1991 after working as a software trainer, where he was required to travel several times each month. He also was gone for up to 12 hours each day while in the office.
The biggest worry while gone was the quality of care his cats and dog received. Michael is aware of the concern that people who travel for work, have a long day due to commuting or are on vacation can have for their pets.
Because of his travel experience, Michael is exceptionally sensitive to the importance of providing care as close to that provided by the pet's owners. This gives the animals a continuity of care, helping them to relax and be less anxious while family is away.
